Warming and Soothing: Creamy Thieves Tea Recipe

CreamyThievesTea2017

With winter comes, for many, dry throats and cold bodies. Here is a recipe that may bring comfort for both throat and cold body.

Best of all it is quick and easy to prepare!

Creamy Thieves Tea

Ingredients

1 Tablespoon Full-Fat Coconut Cream* (Native Forest Organic Coconut Cream)
1-2 drops Young Living Thieves Vitality Essential Oil Blend
1 Tea Bag of your choice (our fav, Stash Lemon Ginger Tea)
1-2 teaspoons honey or sweetener of your choice (raw, unfiltered, organic honey)
6-8 ounces hot water

Directions

Bring 6-8 ounces of water to a boil (be very careful). While water is being prepared, mix together coconut cream and Thieves Vitality oil (the fat in the cream draws in the Thieves Vitality oil, which will help it disperse more evenly in your tea). Mix in sweetener then carefully add hot water. If you are using a tea bag, add this, cover, and allow to steep for 3-5 minutes. Mix thoroughly and enjoy!

*If you do not like coconut cream and can handle dairy feel free to substitute this for full-fat cream of your choice.

This recipe is fantastic! Thank you for sharing. I had to wait until today to make it as I wanted Native Forest Organic Coconut Cream to put in it and my store was out until today. I just had a cup of it using a green tea bag also. I highly recommend trying this recipe!

Thanks so much for taking the time to share this with us! We had tried other Thieves tea recipes but the blend just seemed to “pool” instead of disperse . . . we think the cream helps it to disperse more evenly and provides a lovely flavor when dispersed more evenly. Glad you enjoyed!

What a wonderful combination! Just one little suggestion – make the tea first, then add the hot, already prepared tea, to the other ingredients. Otherwise a good deal of the oil, even though dispersed by the coconut cream, will leave with your tea bag. 🙂 I’m enjoying this tea even now as I have a “lovely” summer cold. It’s a lovely tea. Thank you!
