Topical Recipes

Skin Salve


  • 1/2 cup of Coconut Oil
  • 1/2 cup of Olive Oil
  • 1/4 Cup of Beeswax
  • 15 drops Organic Calendula Extract
  • 15 drops of Tea Tree essential oil (Melaleuca Alternifolia)
  • 15 drops of Lavender essential oil


Put the coconut oil, olive oil, and beeswax in double boiler. Gently heat until beeswax is completely melted. Remove from heat and let cool for around 10-15 minutes. Add the extract and essential oils and stir. Pour into a glass jar and store for up to a year. Makes 1 and 1/4 cups.

Workout Rub


  • 1/2 cup grated shea butter
  • 2 tablespoons organic argan oil
  • 2 teaspoons beeswax (grated or pastilles)
  • 1 teaspoon arrowroot powder
  • 5 drops camphor oil
  • 5 drops peppermint oil
  • 5 drops ginger oil
  • 5 drops eucalyptus globulus oil
  • 2 drops rosemary oil


Over low heat (double boiler preferred) gently melt shea butter and beeswax. Once melted, remove from heat and add argan oil and arrowroot powder, stir to combine. Then add remaining ingredients. Stir thoroughly then pour into a 6-8 ounce container of your choice. You could also pour into 3-4, 2 ounce containers and share the goodness.

Face Moisturizer


  • 1 Cup raw shea butter
  • 6 drops Royal Hawaiian Sandalwood oil
  • 6 drops Helichrysum oil
  • 6 drops Geranium oil
  • 6 drops Lavender oil
  • 6 drops Sacred Frankincense oil
  • 6 drops Myrrh oil
  • 6 drops Ylang Ylang oil
  • 1 tablespoons Jojoba oil


Gently melt Shea butter, allow to cool to room temp, add essential oils and Jojoba. When cooled to solid, whip with hand mixer. Spoon into jars. Refrigerate any cream not using within the next month. Refrigerated cream should keep for nine months to a year.

Pina Colada Body Butter

(whipped lotion for your body)

Makes Approx. 12 ounces

  • 1/2 cup shea butter
  • 1/4 cup coconut oil
  • 2 Tbsp jojoba oil
  • 1 Tbsp argan oil
  • 1 tsp beeswax pastilles
  • 1 Tbsp arrowroot powder
  • 4 drops lime essential oil
  • 1/4 tsp pineapple extract
  • 1/4 tsp coconut extract


Gently melt shea butter, coconut oil, jojoba oil, argan oil, and beeswax (double boiler works great for this or use 1 medium pot with water halfway and a smaller pot with ingredients placed on top of medium pot). Once all ingredients are melted remove from heat and stir well.

Allow mixture to cool until it is opaque (can no longer see through the ingredients but not solid).

Add the remaining ingredients to the mixture then whip with a hand or stand mixer. Whip until the ingredients are thoroughly combined and the mixture is light and fluffy. This will take about 3-5 minutes. You will know when it is ready because you should be able to stick a spoon in the mixture and the spoon (along with the mixture) will stay in place when held upside down.

When finished whipping, spoon mixture into jars of your choice and store in a cool place.
