Strawberry-Chocolate “Milk”Shake

LLStrawberryChocolateShake

It took quite some time to tweak this recipe so that it was super creamy, smooth, and scrumptious! So, without further ado I introduce to you one of the most delicious non-milk, “milk”shakes you will ever drink. Seriously, it is that good.

Strawberry-Chocolate “Milk”Shake

Ingredients

1 Cup Cold Water
1/2 Cup Blanched Almond Flour
10 Pitted Dates
1 Tbsp Cocoa Powder
1 tsp vanilla
1/2 Banana
1 (10-Ounce) Package Frozen Whole Organic Strawberries
1/4-1/2 Cup Unsweetened Cashew Milk

Instructions

Place water, flour, dates, cocoa powder, vanilla, and banana in a powerful blender (we used a VitaMix). Start blending slow and work your way up to full power, run on full power for about 30 seconds or until well blended and smooth.

Remove and add strawberries and milk. We added the cashew milk once we began blending the strawberries and just pour in a touch to get it blending and moving.

That’s it! Pour and enjoy!

Notes: We used pitted deglet noor dates. The banana was medium-large in length and we used half of this but have used a whole before without much difference. The strawberries must be frozen, if you have fresh you can freeze about 23-25 whole strawberries to use for this recipe. We only have cashew milk on hand but you could use whatever you prefer, it is just used to “soften” the blend. The cocoa powder we used was Frontier brand dutch processed cocoa powder.

We’ve made this recipe multiple times with these exact ingredients. If you would like to use a substitution, we have no idea how it would turn out but please feel free to share your successes with substitutions.

You could definitely stir in a toothpick dipped in Young Living Peppermint Essential Oil to give this a minty kick!

No Bake: Pineapple, Lime Snowball's

snowball-cookies1
Pineapple-Lime Snowball’s
1 package (8 ounces) cream cheese, softened
1 drop Young Living Lime essential oil
1 can (8 ounces) crushed pineapple, well drained
1 cup chopped pecans
3 cups flaked coconut
In a small bowl, beat cream cheese, lime, and pineapple until combined then fold in the pecans. Cover and refrigerate for 1 hour.
Take out of refrigerator and roll into 1-inch balls; then roll the balls in the coconut.
Refrigerate for 4 hours or overnight.
Yield: about 2 dozen.
Tips:
If you actually follow the instructions, and don’t try “taste testing” before the product is finished, you’ll love this recipe. A few helpful hints to remember when making this recipe:
a. An inch is much smaller than you think, use ruler to measure an inch.
b. After you mix the drained crushed pineapple and softened cream cheese, don’t taste it.
c. After you shape the balls, roll them in coconut, don’t taste them. It is now cream cheese, pineapple, pecans and coconut.
If you made your snowballs SMALL, and they’ve chilled over night (or at least 6 hours), the pineapple, lime, and cream cheese have “married”, and are delicious.
