UPDATED the recipe after more trial and error. We think this one is superb!! We did a lot of trial and error before we felt like we had an amazing DIY RECIPE to share with all of you! Now you can make your own hand cleanser, purifier. Always remember that nothing takes the place of a thorough hand washing with soap (we encourage you to use soap that is free of harmful chemicals). Wash hands a good, solid 20 seconds to give yourself the best chance of freeing your hands from harmful germs and/or viruses. However, when washing your hands with soap and water is not feasible, such as being on the go, this can be used to help reduce risk until you can get to a place to wash your hands properly. With all that said… on with the recipe!

**UPDATE: we are hearing from you saying that this is a lot of Thieves essential oil. Think about this, ONE 7.6 ounce bottle of Thieves Hand Sanitizer (out of stock currently and not sure when it will be back in stock) is currently $27.25. That is approx. $3.59 per ounce. A 15 ml bottle of Thieves essential oil is $34.75 (member price), the 1 teaspoon is approx. 5 ml, which would be 1/3 of the price of the 15 ml of Thieves, which would be $11.58. Given this makes almost TWO of the 7.6 Thieves Hand Sanitizer, which would cost $27.25×2= $54.50, this is much more cost effective and the amount of Thieves in this is probably about the same as in the Thieves Hand Sanitizer. However, feel free to use whatever amount you would like. This amount came as close to smelling and feeling like the YL bottle as we could get.**

DIY Thieves Hand Cleanser

makes approx. SIXTEEN OUNCES of hand purifier

1 tsp vitamin E oil

1/4 cup witch hazel, vodka, alcohol (highly recommend triple distilled vodka 80 proof or higher, Absolut is a good brand)

1 3/4 cups aloe vera gel

1 tsp Thieves Blend essential oil

In a small stainless steel bowl combine all ingredients and whisk gently until well combined.

Add aloe vera juice, if necessary, until it reaches your desired thickness. If wanting a spray add distilled water.

Makes approx. 16-18 ounces, if used, as is, without adding additional aloe vera juice and/or distilled water.

If you want to make it 16 ounces, to fill FOUR, 4-oz bottles or EIGHT, 2-oz bottles, add about 1/4 cup of aloe vera juice, vodka, or witch hazel

Other fantastic essential oils you can use, in place of Thieves, are:

Bergamot, Eucalyptus, or Tea Tree

We have 2 label designs you can use for your own 2 ounce bottles, they should work for the 4 ounce bottles but the width may have to be trimmed.
