Pina Colada Body Butter

We hope you will enjoy this pina colada whipped body butter recipe. We tried many different recipe combinations and then tweaked and added until we came up with one that “felt” and smelled the way we thought it should. We wanted a body butter that did not give a “greasy” feel and think you will find this just as amazing as we do! We also provided you with a link to the same ingredients we used. Let us know what you think! Enjoy!

Pina-Colada Body Butter

Makes Approx. 12 ounces

1/2 cup shea butter

1/4 cup coconut oil

2 Tbsp jojoba oil

1 Tbsp argan oil

1 tsp beeswax pastilles

1 Tbsp arrowroot powder

4 drops lime essential oil

1/4 tsp pineapple extract

1/4 tsp coconut extract

Gently melt shea butter, coconut oil, jojoba oil, argan oil, and beeswax (double boiler works great for this or use 1 medium pot with water halfway and a smaller pot with ingredients placed on top of medium pot). Once all ingredients are melted remove from heat and stir well.

Allow mixture to cool until it is opaque (can no longer see through the ingredients but not solid).

Add the remaining ingredients to the mixture then whip with a hand or stand mixer. Whip until the ingredients are thoroughly combined and the mixture is light and fluffy. This will take about 3-5 minutes. You will know when it is ready because you should be able to stick a spoon in the mixture and the spoon (along with the mixture) will stay in place when held upside down.

When finished whipping, spoon mixture into jars of your choice and store in a cool place.

  1. Thanks so much for all your workings in these posts. It’s just wonderful what all you do for us out here!!!!!!!

  2. I made my first batch but it turned out looking like frosting for a cake- not whipped.
    Any suggestions?

    Thanks much!

    1. Hi Caryn,

Frosting actually has a “whipped” consistency so not exactly sure what the issue is with your batch? If you feel it is too thin then add a little more melted beeswax to thicken. If you feel it is too thick then add a little oil to thin it out. Hope that helps.
